Coastal Carolina University is a comprehensive, public, liberal arts institution in Conway, South Carolina. The University offers 73 major fields of study toward the baccalaureate degree, 22 master’s degree programs, two educational specialist degrees and two Ph.D. programs across five academic colleges.

Coastal Carolina University has a dedicated team of transfer admissions counselors to make the transfer process student-friendly. Transfer students receive an initial transfer credit evaluation upon acceptance. Students who have earned an Associate of Science or an Associate of Arts degree at a regionally accredited institution receive a core curriculum waiver and immediately begin taking courses in their major. 

A diverse population of more than 10,600 students from across the country and around the world engages with a world-class faculty, and they all enjoy an inspiring cultural calendar and a tradition of community interaction fueled by more than 160 student clubs, organizations and honor societies. Coastal Carolina athletic teams compete in Division I of the NCAA as members of the Sun Belt Conference. 

The University comprises 115 main buildings on 633 acres. A 1,105-acre tract, including a portion of Waties Island, provides a natural laboratory for extensive study in marine science and wetlands biology on an Atlantic coast barrier island. 

Coastal Carolina University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award the baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral degrees.
