Framingham State University is an exceptional public school offering small, interactive classes taught by respected professors who encourage students to be their best. FSU is located in the heart of the economically vibrant MetroWest corridor and is situated on a beautiful, 78-acres of New England campus in Framingham, Massachusetts, only 20 miles from Boston. Hemenway Labs, a stunning 68,000-square-foot facility featuring 16 laboratories, a large atrium, and several study lounges is one of newest addition to campus as well as a beautiful residence hall.
FSU welcomes around 500 transfer students each year from community colleges and four-year institutions. Framingham State University offers strong advising support for transfer students, and works closely with students to make their transfer experience easy.
Students at Framingham State University have 39 majors to choose from including traditional liberal arts subjects such as Art, Biology, Chemistry, History, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science, Music, Communication Arts, Criminology, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Geography, Physics, English, Economics, and Modern Languages. They can also major in Nursing, Food and Nutrition, Food Science, Education, Fashion Design and Retailing, Hospitality & Tourism Management. Within each major, students can often choose from a range of 57 specialized concentrations. In addition, FSU offers more than 50 minors in subjects ranging from IT to Art History to Museum Studies to Neuroscience.
FSU encourages undergraduates to take advantage of its numerous study abroad opportunities and the many excellent internship programs offering real-world experiences and professional contacts resulting in career-ready students.
