Searching for a dynamic university filled with opportunities? Your search is over! At West Chester University, you will become a member of a diverse community, engage in small classes led by faculty members, immerse yourself in hands-on research and internship opportunities, build lifelong friendships, and achieve greatness inside and outside the classroom.

The Office of Admissions at West Chester University completes a preliminary evaluation of all transfer applications on a rolling basis once all information has been received and processed. It is recommended that transfer applicants for the fall semester should complete the application process early in the preceding spring semester and that spring semester application should be completed early in the preceding fall semester.

Transfer admittance is open to any student who has attended a post-secondary institution after high school or enrolled with WCU on a non-degree basis. If you attended WCU as a degree student for at least one semester but did not register for classes for three or more consecutive semesters, apply as a readmit applicant.

Earn your degree faster at WCU! Use the Academic Passport to waive the general education credits and complete your major specific courses here. The Academic Passport satisfies the first 45 credits of general education requirements for students who have earned the A.A.S, A.A., A.S., and A.F.A from a Pennsylvania Community College. This includes English composition, mathematics, public speaking, interdisciplinary, and electives. Exceptions to this policy include the diversity requirement, course prerequisites, or major related requirements.

Limited housing is available for transfer students on our South Campus in The Village and The East Village Apartments. Applicants interested in living on campus should plan to complete the application process early.
